Replacement for the Stolen One

During the opening ceremony of the Luxembourg Hill Lookout Tower on September 28, 2020, a cast-iron bell was installed on the highest gallery of the tower for the enjoyment of visitors. It was placed there so that anyone who wished could ring it and perhaps make a wish—or simply for fun. At that time, a supporter from Moravia sent it as a gift in a package, accompanied by 700 CZK in cash. Can you imagine?

It was almost unbelievable that the bell remained in place for a full three years! Still, one must wonder—what could motivate someone to steal a bell and keep it for themselves? Or would they just discard it somewhere? Depriving others of a small joy?

In any case, a new bell was installed this evening. Let's enjoy it for as long as possible...
