Blessing of the Malečov II Cross

How it all started:

On September 16, 2021, PhDr. Petr Hrubý, Director of the National Heritage Institute Ústí nad Labem, restorer Dr. Martin Šerák, Jiřina Bischoffiová from MAS Labské skály, and Zdeněk Petr representing the association, met at the site of the cross. The procedure for the professional work was agreed upon, with the understanding that the association would apply to the Ústí Community Foundation for financial support.

How it all ended:

On June 3, 2023, at 2:00 PM, a ceremony was held to bless the cross, officiated by Dean Karel Havelka of the Roman Catholic Parish of Proboštov in the presence of about 30 kindred spirits. The "Malečov II" cross became the second small sacral monument restored by the association in the Malečov region.
