The association concluded a contract with the municipality of Malečov on 28. 12. 2016, after prior discussion at the council, as a construction contractor. At the same time, it was authorized by the municipality to negotiate with state authorities and to conclude agreements and contracts with subcontractors. At the beginning of 2017, the construction designer, Ing. Jaromír Veselý from Ústí nad Labem, modified the entrance to the lookout tower at the suggestion of the association. The entrance staircase to the first floor, originally designed as an external staircase, was moved inside the tower plan so that the staircases to all floors are now aligned vertically.
In the summer of 2017, Vladimír Břehovský from Tašov carried out the necessary landscaping at the top of the hill free of charge. However, we were unable to find a company that would follow up with the construction of the tower's foundations. Eventually, INSKY, s. r. o. from Ústí nad Labem started the construction of reinforced concrete foundations, including chemical anchors for attaching metal footings, in May 2018. The concrete, supplied by Skanska Transbeton, s. r. o., was pumped from the bottom of the hill to the top using an 80 m long pipeline. The pump, including hoses, was provided by Lukáš Rytíř from Ústí nad Labem. On 27. 9. 2018, the association took over the work from Insky.
The four main supporting beams (the first of the three height levels) were erected in four metal footings made free of charge by Michal Hoskovec from Malečov. The owner of the surrounding forests, MILIDIA Invest, a. s., donated 50 m³ of wood for the construction of the upper structure. Already in December 2017, we commissioned the production of the necessary wooden elements for the tower at the KUKA CZ, s. r. o. sawmill in Malečov, so that the construction of the upper wooden structure could follow the completion of the foundations and the installation of the metal footings. In September 2018, Martin Andráš from Žitenice started carpentry work. The company R - built, s. r. o. from Radovesice participated in the assembly of the upper two sections of the supporting beams free of charge with its V3S crane. A group of people around the adjacent lift and kiosk at the foot of the Lucemburkův kopec, led by Miroslav Fara and Tomáš Hübsch, contributed significantly to the construction. Martin Andráš supplied roofing and plumbing elements (eaves with downspout and gargoyle, railing flashings) including labor free of charge during January-March 2020. In March 2020, Luboš Štorkán carried out work on the lightning rod as the last part of the tower free of charge.
The building permit was issued by the Municipality of Ústí nad Labem on 6. 5. 2020. The original date of the tower opening ceremony on 8. 5. 2020 was postponed to the Czech Statehood Day on 28. 9. 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. For this occasion, we decided to start a tradition of uphill running. Even before the first year of the run was organized, the tower was handed over to the municipality of Malečov on 1. 9. 2020.
