Renovation of the Babiny III Chapel

It Went Fast

In the summer of 2022, Barbora Ježková from Čeřeniště, in cooperation with the association, initiated the renovation of this chapel. The work was organized relatively quickly, and if it hadn't been for the first really cold days at the beginning of November, the final coat of white facade paint would have been applied. This was successfully completed under suitable atmospheric conditions on June 25, 2023. More on Renovation.

What Will Make the Chapel the Most Beautiful

The finishing touch will be the chapel's decoration, inspired by the religious motif historically associated with it. The sponsors of the decoration, Mr. and Mrs. Lukeš from Čeřeniště, chose the theme of the Holy Trinity and approached the renowned and internationally recognized glass artist Zdeněk Kudláček from Nový Bor. A meeting and discussion on the chosen theme took place with him on February 6, 2023. Around mid-April, the final design was completed. We can look forward to its realization and final installation in the chapel. It will undoubtedly be the most beautiful chapel in the Bohemian Central Highlands.
