Proboštov VI

More about the cross on the Registration Card of this small sacral monument.
During the winter months of 2021/2022: production of the metal anchorage and the new wooden cross according to the attached drawings. The replica adheres to the dimensions of the original fallen wooden cross, which, due to its condition, can no longer be reinstalled (as also assessed by the National Heritage Institute). The landowner has been informed. The production, including the installation of the cross in the field, was carried out by the sawmill in Malečov, or by s. r. o. KUKA CZ.

On 6. 10. 2022, the workers of the sawmill KUKA CZ, s. r. o. in Malečov brought the cross, dug the pit, erected the cross, and concreted the foundations. The progress of the work can be seen in the following photographs.

On 22. 10. 2022, in the afternoon, a ceremony of blessing the cross was held by Dean Karel Havelka of the Roman Catholic parish of Proboštov in the presence of about 30 kindred spirits. The cross "Proboštov VI" thus became the first small sacral monument restored by the association.

It had been raining since the morning, but half an hour before the ceremony, it stopped, and at the moment of blessing, those present were illuminated by the rays of the sun. Everyone will surely remember that moment for the rest of their lives. After the lighting of candles at the cross, there was a small refreshment—people stood around, had fun, and enjoyed cakes, strudel, and hot tea.
